About Creovino

Some of you may be wondering about the name Creovino. I wanted a meaningful name and something that just rings “it works.” Especially in this day where good dot coms are scarce. I knew I wanted to create a site about wine making and create became the operative word.

Create or to create in Latin is creo and vino as well all know is wine. It seemed to fit. The more I thought about it the more I became attached to the title. The site is about the creation of wine. Simple. Period. In turn wine creates many things for us.

It is mysterious how there is that unspoken bond that wine has with us. It creates conversation, celebrations, and friends. It flows through the veins many ethnic backgrounds and will always have that special spot on the table. It is more than a drink; it is a ticket to a wonderful and engaging experience.

Being that I am trying to find that sweet spot in life where you do exactly what you love. I came to the conclusion that wine making (and drinking – let’s be honest) for me is becoming more and more of a symbol, if you will, in my life.

Wine making has been a part of my family for generations and I feel that it is my duty to a certain degree to carry on this activity of the past. By doing so I will make a product of labor and love and be able to share that with my family and friends for years to come.

I have found (through self reflection… with a glass of wine) that some of the most enjoyable times I have had in my life were shared with a glass of wine in hand. The wine always seemed to have brought on good company and exchange between individuals. The experience was something money could not buy and it is those moments that should be the most appreciated.

Being somewhat of a socialite; I thought the web was the best place for me to gather with other wine makers and be able to provide a forum for such individuals to collect and learn about this wonderful subject. Wine. I want even the most amateur hobbyist to know that wine making is not an esoteric business. It is easily understood if you break it down into the basics. Although there are some basic rules to follow, ultimately it is very subjective topic. A good wine to one person may be horrible to another. Let us learn together to understand and respect this delightful elixir.

In closing I hope this site becomes a valuable resource for all. I look forward to making some new friends and become part of the winemaking community.

Salute. Chindun!
